Our Advanced Training Programs

Majors social - Great for teams that want to continue to train and enhance dogs skills.

Have some fun and learn some  new skills. This class is a class for anyone after Minors 2 or joins us with Minors 2 level skills in place, who would like to enjoy the social aspect of training whilst teaching your dog new skills.

This class is on going weekly all welcome. Ideal as a drop in class where you can learn new skills

5 x class pass available $100

Requirements to enter class

This class is an automatic progression for any students who wish to continue after completing Minor Paws 2.

If you wish to join from an external training environment, you will need to undergo a brief assessment of suitability which can be completed in person (booked) $40.

Skills required

Sit and Drop on cue
Handler demonstrates positive reward based training knowledge ( food or toys)
Leave it food dropped
Settle on mat from a distance
Recall
Stay & Release
Heel 
Focus

Handler and dog teams must also demonstrate competent handling skills and some degree of loose leash walking.

Majors Masters - Advanced class Ideal for teams who have completed majors eqivalent training

Join our comprehensive classes to elevate your training skills with your dog. This class covers advanced techniques and practical applications to ensure you and your dog can handle everyday and real-life situations. This class also introduces the canine crest assesment  process where students can undergo assesment processes to earn mastery colours. (like martial art levels)

  • Obstacle work

Real-Life Application: Take your skills on the road! This part of the class will put everything you have learned into practice, allowing you and your dog to experience and navigate real-life situations. You’ll learn to work and control your dog in public, at a café, and more. This training is ideal for those preparing for competition or fine-tuning behaviors around various stimuli.

This class is the next level progression for any students looking for the next challenge after Majors 1 social

If you wish to join from an external training environment, you will need to undergo a brief assessment of suitability which can be completed in person (booked) .

Handler demonstrates positive reward based training knowledge ( food or toys)
Sit and Drop Stay for 1 min seconds
Leave it food dropped
Settle on mat 1 min
Clear focus and attention
Basic heel control
Competent recall ( come)

Hander and dog teams must also demonstrate competent handling skills as this class is sometimes offered off, leash dogs must be ok around other dogs – if you have concerns you may still join but we will avoid off leash exercises.
