Our “Paws for Purpose” Dog Therapy Training Course is an introductory workshop designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge required to pursue your goal of working with Therapy or Support dogs.

Be it that you’re training a dog for personal support, NDIS assistance, or preparing dogs for roles in Psychology, Aged care, Schools, Workplace Support this workshop offers tailored guidance to assist to meet your needs.

While this course does not include PAT (Public Access Test) certification, it serves as a solid foundation to help you and your dog prepare for future assessments.

You’ll receive a confirmation of training, which can be beneficial in your certification journey.

Throughout the course, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from guest speakers representing various animal therapy organizations – Delta, Mind Dogs, Story Dogs, Assistance Paws, thus providing you with valuable insights into the world of Animal-Assisted Therapy.

 Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll be awarded a Certificate of Human and Animal Handler Competency for prospective Therapy related roles.

This certificate is a valuable asset as you continue your pursuit of any other formal assessments and certification you may pursue.

Dogs and handlers must have completed a level of basic training to qualify for this course Mini Minors or Minors equivalent.
